Since the release of Kalki 2898 AD, fans of Prabhas have been eagerly waiting for his next big outing. While he made a cameo appearance earlier this year, his next full-fledged release has been repeatedly postponed. Now, a clear plan has been drawn up to make a grand comeback, starting this Dussehra.

On October 2, 2025, audiences will witness a massive box-office clash—Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 and Varun Dhawan’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari are hitting theatres. Amidst this, Prabhas is planning a power-packed entry with a strategic move tied to his upcoming film The Raja Saab, directed by Maruti.

Trailer Release Strategy
According to reports, the makers are planning to attach the trailer of The Raja Saab with Kantara: Chapter 1 in theatres during the Dussehra holiday, especially targeting Telugu states where Prabhas enjoys a massive fan base. This move will ensure maximum buzz around the film even before its release.

Adding to the hype, the first single from The Raja Saab is expected to drop on October 23, marking Prabhas’ birthday. This announcement was reportedly confirmed by producer TG Vishwa Prasad, who also revealed that large-scale VFX work is still underway.

Shooting Updates
The film, co-starring Malavika Mohanan, is in its final shooting phase. Two songs are scheduled to be filmed in Europe soon. Post-production is expected to wrap up by December 2025, paving the way for a worldwide release on January 9, 2026—a date now locked after several reschedules. Notably, Sanjay Dutt plays the main antagonist in the film.

The Sankranti Challenge
While January 2026 promises to be a festive release window, it also brings stiff competition. Megastar Chiranjeevi and Thalapathy Vijay’s films are also slated for Sankranti, setting up a heavyweight clash at the box office. How Prabhas and his team strategize against this tough lineup will be crucial for The Raja Saab’s success.
