Online fashion retailer Myntra on Wednesday announced that its annual festive season sale — Big Fashion Festival — is set to start on September 20.

This announcement comes days after ecommerce majors Amazon and Flipkart revealed the dates of their festive sales, which are set to start from September 23, a day after the revised Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates are implemented.

According to Myntra, categories including women’s ethnic wear and western wear, men’s casual wear, sports footwear, accessories, beauty and personal care, and home and living are expected to be in demand. Myntra’s sale will feature over four million styles across 15,000 brands.

Members of its loyalty programme, Myntra Insider, will get early access to the sale on September 19. The sale will include deals such as OMG Deals, Grab or Gone, Deal O’ Clock, Prime Time Deals, and Brand Mania.

As part of the sale, customers in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Hyderabad will be able to use the platform’s rapid delivery service M-Now to get the orders delivered in 30 minutes. Ahead of the festive season, Myntra expanded its M-Now service to Hyderabad in August.

ET earlier reported that the Flipkart-backed company has introduced a zero-commission structure for brands in the women's ethnic wear space, ahead of the festive season. The new model was in effect for three months, starting August 15.

This year’s festive sale was projected to report a 27% year-on-year (YoY) growth to Rs 1.2 lakh crore. However, after the GST cut, analysts expect the festive online sales will grow over 30%, ET reported on September 5.
