Mumbai, Sept 10 (Read): Shares of Prostarm Info Systems surged nearly 7% on Tuesday after the company announced the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary (WOS) to execute a large-scale energy storage project.

The stock was trading at Rs 217.20 on the BSEup 14.10 points or 6.94% from its previous close of Rs 203.10. It opened at Rs 203.10 and touched an intraday high of Rs 221.25 and a low of Rs 200.85. Trading volume stood at 2,43,223 shares.

New Subsidiary for BESS Project

The new subsidiary, Prostarm karnataka besswas incorporated on September 9, 2025as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to set up a 150 MW/300 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the 400kV Doni Substation (220kV voltage level).

The project will be developed under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mode on a Build-Own-Operate basis. The WOS will carry out business exclusively in the battery energy storage segmentfurther strengthening Prostarm’s foothold in the clean energy sector.
