From North India to the Northeast, the weather patterns have changed. People have got relief from the scorching heat. Even if it is sunny during the day, the weather is pleasant at night. AC consumption is not as much as it was in the early days of April. Now similar weather may continue till next week. The weather from May 9 to May 20 will be pleasant. The days of heatwaves are far away, for now.

It is not that such weather will prevail all over India. There are some states where heat wave will trouble the common people. These states are Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Due to heat wave in some areas here, it will be a bit difficult to go out on the roads, but here too the weather can change. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has made this estimate.

How will be the weather in the country from May 9 to May 13?

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorm and lightning over Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan on May 7. There may be a strong storm in Uttarakhand on May 8. Between May 11 and 13, there may be good rain and snowfall again in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi-NCR.

In Northeast India, there will be rain and thunderstorm over Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from May 7 to 13. In Eastern India, there will be continuous rain and storm in Andaman-Nicobar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. A warning of severe thunderstorm has been issued in West Bengal and Jharkhand on 9th and 10th May. There is a possibility of thunderstorm and heavy rain at many places in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh for the next 4-7 days.

How will the weather be from 14th to 20th May?

Western disturbance will remain active in the western Himalayan region. There will be rain and thunderstorms for several days in Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha and Northeast India. There may also be very heavy rain at some places. Rain will continue in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Where will the heat rise?

The heat will gradually increase in North India. Heat wave may occur at some places in Gujarat and Western Rajasthan between 9th and 13th May. In the second week, heat may increase further in some parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh.
