This had led to fear of fuel shortage for common consumers. The government had imposed a limit of 200 liters to bring this hoarding and the situation under control.

Market transactions will resume from July 1

The government has decided to withdraw this restriction after reviewing the fuel supply and situation in the market at present. From July 1, like the general public, even large vehicles will be able to buy as much fuel as they need at petrol pumps. It is believed by the industry that this decision will remove the traffic jams and bottlenecks in the movement of goods, and also help in keeping the transport costs under control.
