The weather appeared to have changed in Ayodhya since Monday morning. It rained intermittently in many parts of the district. There were dense clouds in the sky throughout the day and the wind kept blowing from time to time. Due to rain the temperature dropped and the weather became pleasant. However, on the other hand, due to the continuous rise in the water level of Saryu River, the concern of the people living on the banks of the river has increased. On Monday, the water level of Saryu was recorded at 93.01 meters, which is 28 centimeters above the danger mark of 92.73 meters.

After Saryu reached above the danger mark, the administration has increased surveillance in the river and surrounding areas. Relief and rescue activities have been started in flood affected areas. People living on the banks of the river are being advised to be cautious and not go near the river unnecessarily. In case of continuous rise in water level, problems may increase in low-lying areas.

The weather patterns in Ayodhya kept changing since morning. At some places there was heavy rain and at other places there was light drizzle. The atmosphere felt cool due to the wind blowing amidst the rain. There was no sunlight during the day due to continuous cloud cover. Amidst the heat and humidity of the past few days, Monday's weather was a relief to the people, but the rising water level of Saryu remains a cause for concern.

According to the Meteorological Department of Kumarganj Agricultural University, the sky is likely to remain cloudy in eastern Uttar Pradesh for the next 24 hours. During this period, light to moderate rain may occur at some places. In such a situation, the chances of the weather being completely clear in Ayodhya and surrounding areas are less at present. Rainfall may also impact the water level of the Saryu, especially if rains continue in the upper catchment areas of the river.

After the water level of Saryu river reached above the danger mark, people living in coastal villages and low-lying areas are constantly keeping an eye on the river. People need to be extra cautious in areas where there is already waterlogging or flood situation. Relief and rescue operations are being monitored by the administration.

Saryu river in Ayodhya is very important from religious and tourism point of view. A large number of devotees reach the ghats located on the banks of the river including Ram Ki Paidi every day. In case the water level rises and the river flow increases, special caution becomes necessary on the ghats. People are being advised to avoid entering the river or going to places with strong currents.

Amid the rising water level of Saryu, administration's surveillance has been increased in the ghats and river bank areas of Ayodhya. During floods the water level of the river can rise and fall rapidly. In such a situation, it would not be correct to estimate the situation just by looking at the current water level. The situation may change in the coming hours due to continuous rain and water coming from upper areas.

At present, rainy season is continuing in many parts of the country. On September 7, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding rain and strong winds in many states including Uttar Pradesh. There is also a possibility of wind speed reaching 70 kilometers per hour in some areas. In such weather, people have been advised to stay away from open spaces, trees and weak structures.

The effect of rain in Ayodhya is also visible on normal life. Traffic may be affected at some places due to accumulation of rain water on the roads. Farmers also have to keep an eye on the weather due to water reaching their fields in rural areas. In case of continuous rain, the problem of waterlogging in low-lying areas may increase.

In view of the rise in the water level of Saryu, families living in coastal areas need to be careful. The administration is appealing to people not to take risks by going to the river bank to see the water level or make videos. Children are also being advised to keep away from rivers and ghats. For those traveling by boat, extra caution is necessary in view of the strong flow of the river.

Even before this, due to rain in Ayodhya and water coming from upper areas, the water level of Saryu has increased rapidly. Even in July, Saryu had reached near the danger mark due to continuous rains and water released from Nepal. At that time the administration had put flood posts on alert and increased surveillance of the coastal areas.

At present, as of Monday, the weather in Ayodhya is not completely free from rain. The sky is cloudy and the wind is blowing with intermittent rain. On the other hand, Saryu has reached 93.01 meters, which is 28 centimeters above the danger mark. In such a situation, the coming 24 hours are important for the people living on the banks of the river.

If the rain continues further, the water level of Saryu may increase further. At the same time, if the rains weaken, there may be a possibility of stability or decline in the water level. The administration and irrigation department are now keeping an eye on the next update of the river water level and weather.

Overall, rain and clouds made the weather pleasant in Ayodhya on Monday, but the rising water level of Saryu has increased the concern. The river is flowing 28 centimeters above the danger mark. Surveillance has been increased in coastal areas and people are being appealed to be careful around the river. The rainfall situation and change in the water level of Saryu in the next 24 hours will be important for Ayodhya.
