Actress Aadhya Anand has spoken candidly about the difficult experience she had while shooting “Knock Knock Kaun Hai,” calling the part her most emotionally and cognitively taxing to date.
The actress said that playing her nuanced role always forced her to go outside of her comfort zone. Aadhya departs from her well-known romantic, adolescent roles to play a character that is very complex, surprisingly erratic, and intensely emotional.
“As someone with a strong background in sports and athletics, I’ve always been drawn to roles that are high energy and dynamic,” she said while discussing the change. Even though I like to portray charming romantic roles, I thought it was time to try something more nuanced and dramatic. A full-on mystery, suspense, romance, murder, and rollercoaster, Knock Knock Kaun Hai? keeps you wondering. I had to push myself both emotionally and cognitively to prepare for this job.
Arjun Deswal and Kush Jotwani have important parts in the series as well. “Knock Knock Kaun Hai” examines themes of danger, intrigue, and secret truths against the background of collegiate life. Starting on May 22, the series will be streamed on Amazon MX Player.
With parts in “Bombay Begums,” “Crushed,” “Friday Night Plan,” and “Bravehearts,” Aadhya is well-known. In the psychological thriller “Knock Knock Kaun Hai?,” she assumes an intriguing new character.
Indian actress, model, and dancer Aadhya Anand was born in Coorg, India, and grew up in Singapore. She has a career in both cinema and digital media.
Against the background of Singapore’s cultural issues, she starred in the social drama “Utter 2016: One Hour to Daylight” that same year. As Shai Irani, the youngest of the five “begums,” in Netflix’s original series “Bombay Begums,” a modern drama that examines ambition, ethics, and desire across generations of women, Aadhya made her streaming debut in March 2021.
