Hero MotoCorp announced the launch of two new electric scooters on 1st July. The scooters will be part of the Vida portfolio. The prices of the entry-level ICE scooters in the Indian market will be equivalent to the prices of the upcoming vehicles in the Vida range. These scooters will be different from the existing V2 series.
The brand is working on a cost-effective EV platform, called ACPD. Vida has three models in its Indian portfolio, namely- the Vida V2 Lite, the Vida V2 Plus and the Vida V2 Pro. Rs 74,000 (ex-showroom) is the starting price, and it goes up to Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom). Vida might widen its dealership networks, with 116 cities in India seeing an expansion of 200 touchpoints that include 180 dealerships.
Production Capacity of Hero to increase to more than 15,000 units per month from 7,000 electric-scooter units per month, post-announcement of the new two-wheelers.
The year 2025 saw Hero MotoCorp's electric two-wheeler sales improvement. 175% growth was registered. In 2025, it recorded sales of 48,673 units, which was 17,720 units in 2024.
