What is dopamine?
Dopamine is a neurotransmitter and hormone that works in the brain. It is a chemical messenger and transmits messages between nerve cells. Although it has no color, color does have an effect on dopamine. Scientific research shows that different colors activate different parts of your brain.
According to Dr Ashok Sharma, Chief Medical Officer (SAG) of AYUSH Directorate Delhi and in-charge of IHBAS unit, our life is like a rainbow, our emotions are different, sometimes we are happy, sometimes we are sad... sometimes life is full of enthusiasm and we see many colours and sometimes we are sad and life becomes colourless. A lot of research has also been done on this.
Now the question arises that how does this happen?
According to health experts, colours send messages to the hypothalamus of the brain, they change your mood and have the power to release hormones. According to psychologists, especially yellow and orange colours are associated with happiness. Yellow colour signifies cheerfulness and satisfaction.
A research found that happy people choose yellow color for their emotions, while sad people choose grey color. The 'smiley' made in yellow is the biggest example of this happiness, which was created by a designer in 1960 to improve the mood of employees.
