News Desk. There has been good news for government employees of West Bengal, which will give them relief now. In fact, the state’s finance department has postponed the order canceling the leave of employees since 7 May 2025.

A new order was also issued on 4 June.

According to the new order of the Finance Department of the Government of West Bengal, the Finance Department has postponed the previous order (No. 1684-F (P2) dated 07/05/2025) for the next order. The order is also signed by Additional Chief Secretary PK Mishra, Government of West Bengal. It may be noted that in the order that had come earlier, it was said that all the sanctions of the employees of the West Bengal government have been canceled with immediate effect except for the holiday on medical grounds.

Apart from this, it was determined that no officer would leave his headquarters without the written permission of his concerned departments. This order was issued in the public interest and was to remain effective until further orders.

Following this new order, the previous stringent rules have been relaxed at present regarding the cancellation of the holiday. This means that the order to cancel the holiday is not effective.

This will provide relief to government employees somewhere. Since the previous order has been postponed only. Therefore, it can be potentially restored or a new instruction can be issued on the basis of future circumstances. In such a situation, it is appropriate for employees to regularly check the website of the Finance Department or other official government sources for new updates.
