JoSAA 2025 Counselling: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will declare the Round 5 seat allotment result of JoSAA Counselling 2025 today, July 11, at 5 PM as per the revised schedule posted on the official website josaa.nic.in. Students who attended the counselling session can log in to view their allotment status after the declaration of the result.

Eligible individuals who are allocated a seat in Round 5 need to assure their entry by finalising the online reporting procedure, which involves the payment of the seat acceptance charge, uploading supporting documents, and answering any questions posed by the authorities. This window will stay open from July 11 to July 14, 2025. Candidates have to make the payment of fees latest by 14th July, while the last date for fixing payment-related problems or answering pending questions is 15th July.

The seat acceptance charge for PwD and reserved category candidates such as SC, ST, GEN-PwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD, and ST-PwD will be Rs 15,000, whereas candidates of all other categories must pay Rs 30,000.

JoSAA has also issued a statement that Round 5 will be the last round in which candidates can opt for 'float' or 'slide' options. The sixth and last round will only provide the 'freeze' option, which implies candidates have to accept their given seat without the flexibility of upgrades. Hence, students should exercise proper judgments while choosing in this round if they want to have some scope of changing seats.

Besides, the applicants who intend to withdraw or opt out of the seat allocation process have the option to do so between July 12 (10 AM) and July 14 (5 PM). Any inquiry on the process of withdrawal must be directed before July 15.

This round is especially significant for students seeking admission into IITs, as Round 6 will be the last round of seat allotment for IITs in JoSAA 2025. Applicants are strongly recommended to keep deadlines in mind and fulfill all the formalities within the specified time to lock their seats without any hassle.
