Hyundai Motor India Has launched a new and cheap AMT variant of its popular compact sedan Aura. The new variants have been named Hyundai Aura S AMT 2025, which has an initial price ₹ 8.08 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant is about ₹ 69,500 expensive than Aura’s manual model. Along with this, the Aura lineup includes the already available SX Plus AMT variant, which costs ₹ 8.95 lakhs.

Great safety and technology features

The company has taken special care of security and convenience in Hyundai Aura S AMT. Meet it:

• Electronic stability control (ESC)
• Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
• Hill Start Assist Control
• Electric folding ORVMs (with integrated turn indicator)
• LED Day-Time Running Lights (DRLS)

All these features make it a lot of premium in the entry-level segment.

Engine and performance

Aura S gives power to AMT, the same old reliable 1.2L, 4-cylinder petrol engine, which is connected to a 5-speed AMT gearbox. This engine generates 83 bhp power and 114 Nm of torque.

Along with this, Hyundai Aura CNG also offers a variant, which provides a 5-speed manual gearbox with a 1.2L petrol engine and CNG tank. This setup produces 69PS power and 95.2Nm torque.

Whom to compete?

Aura S AMT is directly competing with Maruti Suzuki Dzire AMT, which starts from ₹ 8.34 lakh to ₹ 10.19 lakhs. Apart from this, it also gives a tough competition to Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor in the segment.
