Petrol Pump Income Per Month: At present, there are not one but many businesses. One of which is the petrol pump business. Amidst the stable price of petrol and diesel for years, people often have this question in their mind: how much can be earned from a petrol pump (Petrol Pump Business) in a single day or a month.

In such a situation, let us tell you that the income from here depends on demand and operations. Let us know how much the pump owner earns on one liter of petrol and diesel.

Commission on petrol-

At present, one liter of petrol in Delhi costs Rs 94.77. Out of this, the petrol pump owner gets an average commission of Rs 4.39 per liter. This commission is decided by oil companies like Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum, and Bharat Petroleum. After deducting expenses like salary of employees, electricity, and maintenance from the commission received by the pump owner, the net profit per liter remains only about Rs 1 to Rs 1.50.

Income from diesel-The price of one liter of diesel in Delhi is Rs 87.67. On this, the pump owner gets an average commission of about Rs 3.02 per liter. The commission on diesel is less than that on petrol. The reason for this is its lower base rate. Taxes on this are also less than petrol. After removing the expenses, the net profit remains from 1 to 1.5 rupees per liter.

How much income from petrol pump? The income of the petrol pump owner is not fixed; it depends entirely on the sales volume. For example, if a pump sells 5,000 liters of petrol per day, it earns an income of about Rs 21,950 (₹4.39 per liter). Similarly, selling 5,000 liters of diesel gives a commission of about Rs 15,100 (₹3.02 per liter). Thus, the commission of both can be around Rs 37,000 per day.

Income of up to Rs 5 lakh per month?

In this way, the income from commission in a month is Rs 11.10 lakh (37000x30). Around 30 employees work at any petrol pump. If the salary of these employees is calculated at an average of Rs 20000 per month, then it is around Rs 6 lakh. After deducting the total commission and the expenses of the employees, this amount is around Rs 5 lakh per month. Apart from this, there are other sources of income at petrol pumps. Petrol pumps also get a bonus from oil companies for setting up mini stores, vehicle washing and for completing sales targets! This increases their income. This is only a rough idea, the actual income depends on the volume of sales.

Tax accounts for a large part of the price of petrol and diesel. In Delhi, petrol attracts Rs 21.90 excise duty and Rs 15.40 VAT. On the other hand, Rs 17.80 excise duty and Rs 12.83 VAT is levied on diesel. This tax goes to the central and state governments. The income of a petrol pump owner mainly depends on the sales volume and other services.
