Introduction of Amrit Bharat Express

Good news for train travelers in Jaipur! The first Amrit Bharat Express train will operate via Jaipur. This train, running between Darbhanga in Bihar and Madar Ajmer, will be virtually inaugurated by the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday, and it is set to reach Madar Ajmer via Jaipur on Tuesday.

Regular Operations Begin Soon

The Amrit Bharat Express, adorned in saffron color, will commence regular weekly services starting October 3. This superfast train, categorized under general class, will offer modern amenities similar to those found in premium trains like the Vande Bharat Express, but at a lower fare compared to special trains.

Train Schedule and Route

The railway is preparing to launch ten Amrit Bharat Express trains, including the Darbhanga-Madar (Ajmer) route. The inaugural special train will depart from Darbhanga at 11 AM on Monday, making stops at Gandhinagar at 3:20 PM, Jaipur Junction at 3:45 PM, Kishangarh at 5:35 PM, and finally reaching Madar at 6:30 PM.

Speed and Design Features

According to railway officials, this train is designed similarly to the Vande Bharat train and is the first of its kind in the country. It will be equipped with two engines, with the second engine positioned at the rear of the last coach. This dual-engine setup allows the train to accelerate quickly, reaching speeds of up to 130 km/h without jolting or vibrations.

Capacity and Comfort

The train consists of 22 non-AC coaches, accommodating up to 1,800 passengers. It features only sleeper and general class coaches, equipped with CCTV cameras for enhanced security. Safety measures are in place to prevent collisions between trains.

Affordable Fare Structure

The minimum fare for this train will be set at ₹35, excluding reservation and other charges. While the fare may be approximately 17% higher than regular superfast trains, it will be lower than that of special trains, with no concessions available.

Unique Features of the Amrit Bharat Express

Passengers can expect a jerk-free journey with an attractive design, LED lighting, modern toilets, sensor-operated water taps, and announcement systems similar to those in metro trains. Additional amenities include foldable snack tables, luggage racks, and live communication between the pilot and station manager. The train is also equipped with fire safety systems and auto smoke detectors, ensuring passenger safety.
