Last year, Editor Kristin Montemarano lit up our Slack group chat with a request for comfortable slippers. Within seconds, I responded that the Bombas Sunday Slipper is the most elite house shoe your money can buy. Over 365 days later, my opinion hasn’t changed. Between their cushioned memory foam midsole and fluffy sherpa fabric, these slippers keep my feet warm and free from pain no matter how many times I traverse my hardwood floors in a day.

My glowing review convinced Montemarano to get a pair of her own. Weeks later, this was her response: “Liv, I could not agree with you more about how perfect they are. They’re giving cloud.” Now, both of us and our respective partners are deeply enamored with these Bombas slippers. While she’s gifting a pair to everyone on her Christmas list, I just received my fourth set in as many years in the mail a few weeks ago. What can I say? We’re hooked.

Bombas Sunday Slipper

I’ve worn slippers my entire life, so at this point, walking around without a padded layer between my feet and the floor is physically painful. It’s a choice I feel great about now that I learned that podiatrists recommend wearing house shoes at all times for both lower body support and foot protection.

Over the years, I’ve experimented with many brands and styles, all of which performed admirably, but none of which earned my allegiance quite like Bombas. The perfect blend of structure and cushion, they stay on my feet no matter how quickly I walk and retain their shape for an impressively long time. Looking at the picture below, you can see that my new pink slippers are slightly taller and more even. My old blue slippers, on the other hand, have lost a little of their original form, but are still remarkably comfortable considering that I wore them daily for over a year. Even my husband’s navy pair has held its shape for more than 365 days, despite the folded lips at the back because of the way he wears them.

As if their impressive design wasn’t enough, the Sunday Slippers also come in a range of colors. While this is great for variety, it’s not so great for access—these desirable slippers are close to selling out…again. The men’s version is no longer in stock and pink has already disappeared on the women’s side. While they’re still available in cream, nimbus gray, dark espresso, and dark camel, women’s sizes are selling quickly.

If you do one thing before 2026 begins, let it be buying these Bombas slippers. It will likely be the best decision you made all year.
